I'm a devote Catholic Christian and when I began to read Young Blood, which begins with the betrayal of Judas, I didn't know where this book would take me.

Needless to say, I was brought back to the present time and, I was totally surprised with the vampire twist that the authors, Phillip Tomasso2, put into play. I've seen many movies and read many books over the years concerning Vamps, and Young Blood captured my full interest. I loved the heroine, Madison and her friend Neal. Madison does turn into a vampire,(not a spoiler, I hope) but a vampire of a different caliber. Valiant and to preserve and save life rather than claim it, except for...I can't say...You'll have to read the book!

I never like to give spoilers but the mention of Jesus and the last supper blew me away...Good One, Phillip!!

The Tomassos do a masterful job of balancing all the aspects of this outstanding step forward in vampire fiction. The character development is superb, offering you a new group of friends that you will fall in love with as well as some terrible villains you will hate forever. Not only do the Tomassos write great characters but the inter-personal relationships between the characters are so real and vivid. The book is extremely visual - I found myself picturing their vampire world around me flawlessly. I could nearly feel everything that was going on. This book is guaranteed to get your heart racing and your eyes wide. The plot line is intricate and kept my interest the entire way through - I wasn’t ready for it to end and let me assure you, the second book can’t come fast enough! One thing that really sets this book apart is all the vampire world intrigue - there are many clans and bloodlines of vampires and it seems they all want something a bit different. Maddy is entrusted with a huge family secret… one that not only puts her in danger, but puts her family and friends in peril as well. The story is refreshing, riveting, suspenseful, and will have you on the edge of your seat. There’s certainly no shortage of twists and turns of all extremes - ones that will forever change the fate of the characters, ones that will permanently affect the vampire world, and ones that are sure to leave your jaw on the floor!

Awesome book! Tomasso keeps readers on their toes with his unpredictability. His foreshadowing is great, and biblical references make the storyline more realistic. The climatic ending keeps readers wanting more! Can't wait to read the sequel!

I love paranormal and Phillip do not disappoint me. Though different then what I read, I enjoyed the adventures of what a young teen, Madison, went through. Being a teen one day and savior of the world as we know it, was one whirwind story. You won’t go wrong with this book as I’m interested in reading the rest of the series.
I just finished this book by Philip Tomasso and it was an excellent read. I really loved the characters especially Madison and Neal. The story line was fantastic and I couldn't stop reading it until I finished, like in one day. If you enjoy vampire stories than this book is a must read. This is book one so I must find book two!
Vampires aren't usually my favorite read but I'm starting to get hooked on them more and more. Phillip Tomasso has been one of my favorite authors. I love his Vaccination series so naturally I had to check out Young Blood Nightbreed. It may be a Young Adult book but I enjoyed it a lot. The vampires aren't mindless creatures, doing nothing but killing. This book has a great plot to it which will keep on to a great saga. I look forward to book 2. And I think his son is off to a great start in writing and I look forward to reading more of his as well.
